First Audio Physic Loudspeakers without Centering Spiders

Audio Physic introduces new sales manager and Loudspeakers "Cardeas"

Starting in January 2021, Thomas Saheicha works as the new sales manager for national and international business at Audio Physic. In addition, the Western German manufacturer announced the Cardeas, the first model of a new generation of Audio Physic speakers with the so-called PowerTrain™ technology.

With Thomas Saheicha, Audio Physic brings a well-known and highly respected face of the industry into their team. In the hi-fi world, Mr. Saheicha is one of the most distinguished sales managers, with more than 15 years of industry experience at audio specialist Linn.

"Cardeas": the first Audio Physic loudspeaker without centering spiders

With the new Cardeas, Audio Physic presents the result of years of research. The speakers were designed from the ground up to get the most out of the so-called PowerTrain™. The Cardeas is the first model in a whole new generation of loudspeakers. Numerous innovations and advancements that had not previously seen the light of day are supposed to be found in the Cardeas.

The Cardeas is a four-way loudspeaker with a new multi-sandwich cabinet. Inside, the asymmetrical cabinet is made of a high-tech honeycomb/multiplex sandwich.

The HHCT III+ tweeter unit is separated for decoupling. The new HHCM SL midrange driver operates without a centering spider, and the new "Double Surround" woofers and midrange drivers also operate without a conventional centering spider.

The connections for the drivers are newly developed and equipped with WBT plasma contacts. All capacitors were newly developed in long listening sessions and equipped with an innovative copper foam contact, for the first time.

The Audio Physic PowerTrain™, with its newly centered drivers at the heart, is said to transfer kinetic energy in a particularly efficient manner, resulting in especially high dynamics and resolution.

The Audio Physic Cardeas will come onto the market in the first quarter of 2021* and are said to come at an MSRP starting at €36,550 including VAT/pair*.
