The Canadian manufacturer Simaudio introduces a new integrated amplifier under its brand Moon, the 250i V2. This is stated to be an improved version of the original 250i, which is why the new model also comes in the same housing as its predecessor.
Among the upgrades of the V2 model, Moon lists an improved circuit design as well as changes to the shielding of the power supply, which is supposed to bring improvements for the sound. In addition, the new amp now carries a phono preamplifier, which can work with phono MM signals. In addition to this input, the 250i V2 integrated amplifier carries four RCA jacks, a pre-out, as well as connection for headphones. According to the manufacturer, the amplifier delivers a power of 2 x 50 W (8 ohms) and 2 x 100 W (4 ohms).
The new V2 version of the Moon 250i integrated amplifier comes in either black or black/silver at an MSRP of €2,600 in Germany.
